Laserlipolisi is an innovative technique designed especially for removing excess fatty tissue thanks to the selestive interaction of the laser beam with the adipocytes.The basic idea behind this is to melt unwanted fat cell underneath our skin using laser energy (Nd Yag laser 640nm) introduce by a very small fibreoptic device.

For many men and women, liposuction is a dream come true. Smartlipo is the removal of unwanted lumps, bulges, and areas of fat using thin suction tubes (cannulae) that are placed into the body fat through small incisions. A vacuum is applied through a hose attached to the cannula. This draws fat out of the body. Laserlipolisis is usually not intended as a weight-loss technique.

Indication

However, liposuction is commonly used to remove stubborn, diet- and exercise-resistant fat deposits and to sculpt the body into a slimmer profile. Resistant fat deposits may be an inherited problem, so do not blame yourself for their presence. Area can be treated using smartlipo with an impressive result such as

Procedure

As mentioned before,there is no special preparation prior to the procedure.Patients are only advice to wear loose and dark colour clothing.After the selected area agreed by both party,the patient will be infiltrated with certain volume of anaesthetic solution underneath the fat layer through a very small and hidden incision (0.5cm).Once it become numb, laser energy is introduce to that area.The laser light eventually melt and emulsified the fat cell where at the end it will be suck out through the same incision.Normally the whole process will take between 20 minutes to 11/2 hours depends on area. Compression garment can be used (for only 7 10 days)but not compulsory after the procedure.

Consideration

No special preparation for patient prior to the procedure.Like the conventional liposuctiobn,diabetic,uncontrolled hypertension,allergic to anaesthetic solution and pregnancy are contraindicated for this procedure.Initial consultation is required to determined the target area .You might experience slight swelling and very tolerable pain after the procedure but it only last for 1- 2 days.Swelling in the first week is common but gradually it will subside.Heamatomas are minimal and hardness of the surrounding area due to fibrotic changes could be felt for couple of week. Improvement of lipolisis area could be seen as fast as after the procedure and up until 4 months since the process of rescuplturing will still take place after smartlipo procedure.You are advice not to massage the respectable area for 3-4 weeks and try to make the incision wound as dry as possible to avoid secondary infection.

This is not a weight reduction treatment and for best result of resculpturing and thightening of the skin you are advice to do carboxy therapy 1 week after that.
